Mizo boxer Zochhuanawma Fanai will consider himself lucky to have won this bout in the manner he did.
His opponent Thokchom Sagar Meitei, was comfortably leading on the Judges scorecards at the beginning of the 4th round. A well aimed left hook from Fanai caught the Manipuri boxer hard and he seemed hurt. Meitei attempted to crouch and lean onto the ropes, but he simply fell through gap in the ropes and hit the floor. The referee allowed Meitei time to get back into the ring but couldn’t get back into the ring on time and the bout was declared a KO in the 4th Round, Clock 02:49.
