20 year old Hriday Saha was quick and powerful throughout the 2 rounds that the fight lasted. On the other hand, Rajasthani boxer Sushil Kumar who was fighting with a south paw stance did not look very comfortable in the ring with Saha.
The bout started with the usual gusto of a “first bout” at any championships.

Deepanshu Satvir, came into this fight as a replacement fighter and wasn’t expected to cause an upset. But that’s exactly what he did, He shocked Saurav Saha with 2 quick knockdowns in the very 1st round.

Fight Commentary
A lot of showboating and very little actual action can easily summarise the 4th fight of the night between Shivatma Topno and Joy Ghosh.
Joy Ghosh, who was a former State Amateur champion was undoubtedly faster in his punches and quicker on his feet while Topno looked sluggish and slow to get out of his corner today.
Joy Ghosh, was declared winner on points by Unanimous Decision by the 3 judges.

Fight Commentary
The 5th fight of the evening was a good contest that the crowd could get behind.
Md Anwar, with his guile and quick movements was able to get the better of the much taller and leaner Raj Dey in this 4 round Super Lightweight contest.
Raj Dey, looked composed and started the bout well with some good close contact boxing in Round 1 and early in Round 2. By the 3rd Round, however, Anwar, had largely started controlling the fight. All 3 Judges scored the 3rd and 4th rounds unanimously in favour of Anwar.

Fight Commentary
The 6th fight of the evening was a 4 Round Welterweight contest.
Abhishek Pratap Singh, was more assured in his footwork and threw his punches with some economy of effort. On the other hand, Bir Singh Guiya, was throwing his swings and hooks with gusto and elan despite not many actually landing where he intended them.
By the 4th round Bir Singh Guiya, could barely stand with his guard up let alone throwing punches for offensive action. A knockdown in the dying seconds of the 4th round was enough to seal victory for Abhishek in his first Pro Debut.
