Dr. Lenka has been a boxer at the National level and holds a Ph.D. in Physical Education with Boxing Specialization. He also has a diploma in coaching from the National Institute of Sports, Patiala. He has enjoyed the professional boxing careers of Heavyweight Superstars Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Muhammed Ali as well as Floyd Mayweather. He has also been significantly impressed by the amateur careers of Akhil Kumar, Vijender Singh, Ramanand, Md Ali Qamar as well as the 2000 Sydney Olympian and Heavyweight, Gurcharan Singh, who went onto have a good professional career in the US between 2003 to 2012. | |

In his professional life, Dr. Lenka is currently employed with Prof. VB Shah Institute of Management and RV Parel college of commerce at Amroli, Surat.
Dr. Lenka is married to Dr. Brahmani Singh and together they have a 17 year old Son, Pranab, who is completing his 12th standard in commerce. His younger sibling, Kishore is a PGT in Physical Education.
