The Indian Boxing Council Medical Commission advises the IBC on all matters pertaining to the health and safety of boxers, and conducts regular clinics / training sessions for Doctors and Physicians to train and qualify IBC approved Ringside Physicians.
The commission also develops necessary protocols and procedures to enhance the safety of boxers, and executes any medical program of research and development to find the safest way for the protection and treatment of injuries of boxers.
The commission through its Chairperson also gives significant importance to combat doping and health issues that might damage the athletes as well as the sport of boxing.
